THE CLIENT
South Australian Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI)

OVERVIEW
In order to increase transparency and community understanding around speed camera operations in South Australia, DPTI contacted several agencies to pitch for the design of a new website which would act as a single destination for all speed camera related information. DPTI wanted the website to be fresh, interactive and exciting for people between the ages of 16–65, therefore it needed to be easy to use for people with varying levels of computer literacy.

My design, for which I took inspiration from car lights and safety signs as seen at night time, was put forward at the pitch and presented at user testing, where it was the overwhelmingly popular choice with both groups due to its ability to present information clearly in an interactive, engaging way.

Working closely with the developers at Them and within DPTI, the website was live within a month and met AA Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and small file size limits.
